Lost and Crowned Inc

At Lost and Crowned, Inc., print is more than a marketing tool. It is a bridge between our programs and the people who may need them most. Our mission is to restore confidence, dignity, and self worth for individuals facing life altering challenges. We do this through three core programs: The Confident Crown Initiative, which provides wigs and supportive resources to individuals experiencing hair loss; Courage Confidence Collective (C³), which focuses on confidence building and life readiness; and The Huddle Zone, a peer led space designed to help adult men build connection, support, and personal growth.

As a growing nonprofit, we rely heavily on printed materials to introduce Lost and Crowned to individuals, families, community partners, volunteers, donors, and potential sponsors. While digital marketing is important, a printed piece can remain in a waiting room, office, salon, community center, church, or business long after a social media post disappears from a feed. It can also reach someone who may not know what to search for online, or who may be facing a difficult moment and needs information placed directly in their hands.

Lost and Crowned

For The Confident Crown Initiative, print is especially important to our referral strategy. We create program flyers, referral sheets, and QR coded handouts that can be shared with dermatology offices, medical providers, salons and wig professionals, cancer related support organizations, community partners, and other organizations that may encounter individuals experiencing hair loss. These materials explain that Lost and Crowned is a resource and provide a simple path to learn more or apply for assistance. For someone navigating hair loss, receiving a thoughtfully designed printed resource from a trusted provider can make asking for help feel more personal, accessible, and dignified.

We also use printed materials to recruit volunteers, build partnerships, promote our programs, explain sponsorship opportunities, and increase community awareness. At networking events and community meetings, a professional flyer, brochure, referral card, or sponsorship sheet gives people something tangible to take with them and share with others. We frequently connect our print pieces to our website through QR codes so that print and digital outreach work together rather than separately.

Direct mail is another area we are working to expand strategically. We see tremendous value in targeted mail campaigns to healthcare and referral partners, local businesses, prospective sponsors, donors, and community organizations throughout the Tampa Bay area. A mailed introduction package can put Lost and Crowned directly in front of a decision maker and provide a physical reminder to refer a participant, sponsor a program, make a donation, or begin a partnership. We would also like to use direct mail for donor stewardship, community impact updates, fundraising appeals, and invitations to future events and initiatives.

For a small nonprofit, however, professional printing and postage costs can quickly limit the number of people we are able to reach. We currently have to be intentional about what we print, how many copies we produce, and where we distribute them. A Conquest Graphics print grant would allow us to increase both the quality and reach of our outreach without taking critical funds away from direct program services.

With additional printing support, we could produce larger quantities of referral materials for The Confident Crown Initiative, create coordinated outreach pieces for all three programs, develop professional sponsor and donor packets, and launch more consistent targeted direct mail campaigns. We could place materials in more community locations, equip volunteers and partners with resources to share, and reach organizations that may never discover us through social media alone.

Every printed piece has the potential to create a connection. It may lead a person experiencing hair loss to a wig and renewed confidence, introduce an adult man to a supportive peer community, connect someone to confidence-building resources, inspire a volunteer to serve, or move a business to become a sponsor. For Lost and Crowned, print and direct mail are not simply about visibility. They are tools for access, trust, connection, and impact.

Our goal is for the right information to reach the right person at the right time. With the support of Conquest Graphics, we can place more of those opportunities for hope, confidence, and connection directly into the hands of the communities we serve.
