About the Conquest Graphics Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain of Custody (COC) Certificate

FSC CoC certification provides documentation regarding the production of FSC-certified products. Chain-of-Custody certifies the movement of materials from the forest to the end-user, including all successive operations of harvesting, processing, manufacturing, and distribution of forest-sourced products.

Conquest Graphics has attained FSC CoC certification in conjunction with the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain-of-Custody standards. Founded in Germany in 1993, the FSC is an international body that helps promote and ensure responsible forestry practices. By virtue of our FSC certification, we are able to document our roles and responsibilities in the "Chain of Custody" which allows paper to be traced from printed product all the way back to the responsibly-managed forests from which raw materials were sourced.

What this means to our customers is that Conquest Graphics has the ability to manufacture printed products that are in compliance with FSC CoC standards and guidelines. It is our promise to you that we are doing our part to support responsible management of forests, and to help promote positive environmental stewardship. Printing companies like Conquest Graphics that have been independently verified for FSC CoC certification are eligible to label their products with the FSC logo. That means we have the ability to manufacture printed products that comply with FSC CoC standards; however, we also manufacture some printed products that do not comply with FSC CoC standards. That way, we can give our customers the choices they need to make the best decisions about their marketing goals.

Being an FSC CoC certified company also allows us to promote our use of FSC-certified papers. At Conquest Graphics, all of our house papers are FSC-certified, elemental chlorine-free, and contain at least 10% post-consumer waste. Post-consumer waste is paper that has gone to the consumer, and was returned back to the manufacturing process through paper recycling.

Why Should I Buy From an FSC CoC-certified Printing Compnay?

Companies that have been independently certified as FSC CoC-compliant have undergone a rigorous, time-intensive, and expensive process to ensure the integrity of responibly sourced forest materials from harvest through the final manufacturing process. This certification process was supervised by an independent, third-party certification organization, and printing companies must be re-certified via an on-site audit every two years to maintain their compliance.

Don’t be fooled by other online printing companies that claim to be FSC-certified, or promote their use of FSC-certified papers, but are not actually FSC CoC-certified! Look for the FSC CoC certification number. Our certification number is SCS-COC-002504. If an online printing company makes FSC claims, or talks about how they use FSC paper, but doesn’t display their certification number, don’t fall into their “green-washing” trap. How Can I Have the FSC Logo Printed on my project?

• If you are interested in printing a project labeled with the FSC logo, please contact us at 1-800-707-9903, or by email at customerservice@conquestgraphics.com.
• Tell one of our experienced, in-plant customer service professionals that you are interested in printing a project with the FSC logo on it.
• When you are designing or laying out your project, be sure to leave space for the FSC logo and the accompanying information, such as the printer’s certification number. Our prepress professionals will place the appropriate FSC logo and related information into your file. We will then provide you with an electronic or contract proof. At the same time, we will submit your file to our certification partner for logo approval. This approval process generally takes one business day or less to complete. Upon your approval of your proof, and the approval of our certifier, we will proceed with your project, subject to our turnaround policy.
• Upon completion of your project, it will be packaged and labeled as FSC-certified.
