What about recycled papers?
Waste paper accounts for a large percentage of volume in landfills. Since most paper pulp comes from wood, paper manufacturing requires the harvesting of large numbers of trees. Today, companies and individuals who purchase printed products are more aware of the impact of paper manufacturing on the environment, and there is greater demand for recycled paper products. All of the papers we offer at Conquest Graphics have at least 10% post-consumer waste recycled content. These papers are also FSC-certified. Please visit

More and more paper manufacturers are increasing the amount of recycled material in their papers. Since recycled fibers are shorter than virgin fibers, some recycled papers may seem more flexible than others, even if the paper caliper and basis weight are the same. Paper mills also don’t publish the exact recycled content of their paper – usually just the minimum recycled percentage. Paper manufacturers do not publish a specification for flexibility or stiffness either, so printers generally have very limited control over how flexible or stiff a paper may be. This also means that some paper characteristics within the same product line may change over time.
In closing, paper selection is one of the key factors impacting both the cost and the final printed quality of your project. We strive to offer the best possible compromise between paper quality and cost. Like any manufactured product, paper characteristics are subject to the measurements and tolerances of the paper industry, and they change over time according to market changes and pressures.
