A catalog is a department store in your lap. The front cover of the catalog is like
the sidewalk display. That's where you draw them in. If they are drawn to the display
they might just walk in the door. And if they are drawn to the front cover they
might just pick up the catalog.
The front cover of your catalog is your front door
When someone flips through the various sections of your catalog, it's almost the
same as if they have a window into your store. If all the pages display vivid colors,
then your customers will see your products exactly as they look. If all your products
are arranged logically in the sections, then the customer will assume that the ordering
and delivery systems of your physical store are organized and efficient.
Accuracy is important in printing catalogs: making sure that the customers can easily
read the item numbers - that's the importance of quality no-smudge printing. Making
sure that the colors reflect the actual products is absolutely vital. After all,
you don't want to be inundated with returns because the picture was supposed to
show black and it turned out to be a very bad shade of navy. Count on Conquest Graphics
to be your experts in printing catalogs.
All stores - physical or online - should be good stewards of the environment
There has been a lot of buzz about green printing in the past few years. It seems
like everyone in the industry wants to get on the green printing and eco friendly
printing bandwagon. The sad thing is that a lot of online printing companies talk
a good talk about being green printers and environmentally friendly printing initiatives,
but don't really walk the walk. How can a business owner or business professional
tell the difference between an environmentally responsible online printing company,
and the ones that are just "green washing"?
Take a look at the websites of online printing services. Almost all of them mention
"going green" or "sustainable printing" practices. Very few of them will have information
about their green printer certification status. An online discount printing service
that is serious about green printing and environmental stewardship will be FSC-certified.
The FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) is an international organization that helps
ensure that paper and other wood products are sourced from well-managed forests,
and that the wood was not harvested from clear-cutting operations, or from rain
forests, or disturbed or took advantage of indigenous peoples who live in and around
the forested lands.
